Mujeres Mágicas is a bilingual Spanish-English anthology of domestic workers writing stories that cross languages, genres and borders to reveal lessons of survival and celebration for all.
At the SF Event: Readings from Las Malcidas, women from Mujeres Unidas y Activas Celebrate their new book Mujeres Magicas: Domestic Workers Right to Write and Freeodom Voices authors published over these thiry years including: Margot Pepper, Eric Robertson, Faithful Fools, Kelly Curry, Kitty Costello, Jess Clarke and readings from beloved elders and ancestors Mary Tall Mountain, Rhett Stuart, Piri Thomas and Janice King. MC: Freedom Voices cofounder and word magician, Jess Clarke.
Mujeres Mágicas es una antología bilingue español-inglés de trabajadoras del hogar que escriben historias que cruzan idiomas, géneros y fronteras para revelar lecciones de resilencia y celebración para todas.
At the Oakland Event: Presented in Spanish with simultaneous translation to English members of Las Malcriadas will read from the book in Spanish and celebrate their work with the support of Mujeres Unidas y Activas.
